Quick Instructions

Spam-Stopper is not hard to use. Simply follow the instructions below. If you need any help or have any questions, please feel free to contact our technical support department.

1. Sign up for a full working account HERE ($3.95) or FREE Demo HEREl

2. Visit the Spam-Stopper members section.
The first time that you enter the members page, you will be asked to provide your email address. This information can be changed any time in the future, but to get started Spam-Stopper will need to know where to forward your incoming email.

The initial setup has been completed at this stage. You can start using our virtual domain right away.

Using the Spam-Stopper:
To start using Spam-Stopper, simply give out email addresses using your virtual domain. There is no special configuration and no one will ever get your real email address.

How it works:
Next time someone asks you for your email address make up one using a name that will help you to know who is sending you mail. You can give out as many addresses as you like without ever configuring anything further.

Examples of addresses you might give out when asked:

Mom asks for your email address: mom@your-user-name.spam-stopper.net
Walmart asks for your address: wlmrt@your-user-name.spam-stopper.net
HotMailer asks for your address: hmail@your-user-name.spam-stopper.net

*
your-user-name shown above should be replaced with your Spam Stoper login/user name

If you get the idea, each person that asks you for your email address gets their own. This will give you the ability to know where the spam is coming from and simply turn off that one address to solve the spam problem.

If you start receiving spam, look to see where it is being sent to. If the spam was addressed to hmail@, you know that someone at HotMailer sold your email address to a list broker. To solve the problem simply go to the Spam-Stopper member page and click on the option to "Block SPAM". Next, type in hmail and click on the submit button. You will no longer get any mail addressed to hmail and the spam problem has been nipped in the bud.

If you would like to send a small message to the sender/spammer each time an email is received at this address, you can use the filter options to block recipient and include a small text message auto response. Even though you will never see the spam sent to this address, the spammer will get your message.
