| Using Multiple Domains
Spam-Stopper is not hard to use. Simply
follow the instructions below. If you need any help or have any questions, please
feel free to contact our technical support
department.
When
you signup to become a Spam-Stopper member, you can use all of the existing virtual
domains as well as any that are added in the future.
There is no need to
configure anything, simply give out email addresses at any of the domains any
time, using your user host.
Example Of Using A Virtual Domain:
Your
spam-Stopper
email addresses are made up of three parts.
1 | 2 | 3 | Email
Name@ | Host.
| Domain |
They are used in the format of : Emailname@Host.Domainname The
@ symbol before the email name and the . (period) after the host name must be
in the correct location for your email address to work properly.
Email
names can be anything that you make up and are used when someone asks you
for your email address. If a company called 'Hot Mailer" asked for your email
address you can give them the email address starting with hotmailer@ so that you
will know who is sending you email, or who gave this address over to the spammers.
Host
can never change and is always the same. The host is your user/login name on the
Spam Stopper system.
So far we have : anything@yourusername. If your
username on the Spam-Stopper was tom, it would look like: anything@tom.
The
'Domain' is Spam-Stopper.net or one of our virtual domains.
So now
we have : anything@yourusername.spam-stopper.net If
your username on the Spam-Stopper was george, it would look like: anything@george.spam-stopper.net
If
your username on the Spam-Stopper was alice, it would look like: anything@alice.spam-stopper.net
If
you want to use one of our virtual domains simply replace .spam-stopper.net with
any of our virtual domains shown below:
.expensiveISP.com .hiding-out.com .x-email.com .x-email.net
If
your user name on the Spam-Stopper was Alice, you could give out your email address
as any of the following:
anything@alice.expensiveISP.com anything@alice.hiding-out.com anything@alice.x-email.com anything@alice.x-email.net
